Q1: I don't know the UserID and password for the evaluation version and therefore can't logon.

Answer: The userid is DEMO and the password is DEMO.

Q2: Can Job Tracker support more than 2 users?

Answer: Yes Job Tracker is fully networkable. With the initial purchase of Job Tracker you will be able to use Job Tracker on two computers simultaneously. If you require additional user licenses you can purchase as many as you require for an additional charge. (click here to order more licences)

Q3: Will Job Tracker handle GST?

Answer: Job Tracker has been designed to cater for all of the complexities of the current Sales Tax system so it is more than capable of coping with the GST. It is our intention however to release a GST version of Job Tracker which will simplify the many complexities of the Sales Tax system.

Q4: Will I need an accounting package as well as Job Tracker?

Answer: This will depend on the size of your company and what you already have in place. Job Tracker was never intended to be a complete accounting package. Job Tracker does however allow you to produce all your invoices & record the payments you receive. You may decide to keep your current system to place your orders and pay for them. Alternatively you may decide to purchase an accounting software package to automate your purchasing and produce your own 'profit and loss' and 'balance sheet' reports.

Q5: Can the reports be modified?

Answer: There are many options within Job Tracker which give you control over the way some of the reports are printed. There may be occasions however when you can't quite get what you want from Job Tracker. If this is the case you have two options. Job Tracker contains a link to Microsoft Word and it is an easy task to use the 'fields' within Job Tracker to produce your own 'Word' templates.

The second option is to make use of Microsoft Access. The database that Job Tracker produces is fully compatible with Microsoft Access and this means that you have an extremely powerful and versatile programming tool at your disposal. If you are not familiar with Microsoft Access and would like to know more, please don't hesitate to contact us as we offer assistance in this area to develop customised Access applications which are linked directly to the Job Tracker database.

Q6: Will Job Tracker run under Windows NT, Windows 98, Windows XP?

Answer: Yes Job Tracker can run under all versions of Microsoft Windows and also Apple Macintosh using Windows emulation software.

Q7: Is Job Tracker Y2K compliant?

Answer: Yes the latest version of Job Tracker (version 2.11) is Y2K compliant (click here to see further information).

Q8: Can I have more than one database?

Yes, once you have registered your Job Tracker program you will be able to create as many new databases as you like. This will enable you to run completely separate companies or departments within you organisation. The only restriction is that they must be run from within the same computer network. If you wish to use Job Tracker at another location it is necessary to register Job Tracker again.

Q9: How many jobs can I enter into Job Tracker's database?

Answer: If you are running Job Tracker on a relatively new computer then Job Tracker will perform extremely well. As an example Job Tracker is being used by a sign manufacturing company with a database containing over 20,000 jobs and networked to 9 computers (eight running Windows 95 and the server on Windows NT).
